Why Kraft

Most projects lose time in the gap between the engineer and the shop. At Kraft, they're the same conversation. Every design comes from a professional engineer who has worked as a diver and a heavy-duty mechanic, and knows how equipment fails in the field.
What we do
Six core services, backed by a P.Eng and 20+ years of hands-on industry experience.

Experience designing and repairing a wide variety of equipment. We design repair procedures to bring failed or damaged equipment back to OEM standards or better, and engineer modifications to suit your application.

From an existing drawing or a design from scratch in SolidWorks Professional 3D modelling and analysis, then built with our in-house lathe, plasma table, welders and drills, or our network of industry partners.

Container cranes, RTGs, heavy lattice boom cranes, highway trucks, excavators, wheel loaders, rock trucks, sawmill machinery and more. Pre-purchase inspections, failure analysis, and insurance inspections for cause, valuation or forensic engineering.

Some jobs need time on site. Our team is equipped for measurements and to assist with installation and commissioning.

We work with your CMMS software to outline a preventative maintenance plan, help you choose a CMMS that fits your fleet and budget, and set up condition-based assessments to avoid downtime.

Taking a vessel to dry dock, a major component exchange or a complete overhaul: project planning and management to keep the work on time and on budget.
Where we work
Vessels live in the harshest environment there is. We handle boat drafting and CNC work, tug boat repairs, and custom hardware built to survive salt, load and vibration.
Mills and logging operations depend on heavy equipment that can't sit idle. We design guarding, attachments and repairs that keep production running and crews safe.
From hatchery piping layouts to custom pipe supports, we design and fabricate the systems that keep fish farms flowing reliably.
Safety-critical work demands documented, defensible engineering. We bring rigorous design, inspection and analysis to energy-sector equipment.
Public works fleets need dependable maintenance more than anything. We build and refine maintenance programs, and inspect the machines behind them.
